Valentine's Day has a hidden meaning to all of us. For some, it's a day of romance, to spoil and pamper our partners, and express how much we love them. For others, Valentine's day brings of excitement, mystery and intrigue.

We all have a certain happy Valentine's day memory, whether it's from the past or present. For many happy couples in love, every Valentine's day memory is loving and special.

My most memorable Valentine's day was 22 years ago. I had been going out with my gorgeous boyfriend for 2 years and was head over heels in love with him, in fact never happier. We had booked a mini break away to Paris, just the two of us. It was the first time we had been away together, and we deserved some time away from work etc. Paris was everything I had expected it to be, chic, sophisticated and full of romance. Young and old couples everywhere, sat hand in hand, sharing an intimate moment together, cosy and comfortable in each other's company, with candles to add to the atmosphere. On the second day of being there, my boyfriend booked for us to visit the Eiffel Tower. After my initial fear of how I was going to cope with my fear of heights and the amount of steps we had to climb, we eventually reached the top! The view of Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower was breathtaking, I can remember being quite emotional! That's when he did it, my boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed to me. I can honestly say with my hand on heart, that I really wasn't expecting it, and I had been blissfully unaware of the date 14 February, Valentine's day! My man was there on one knee, with the most beautiful engagement ring held out in front of me, and a small audience of tourists looking on, smiling. I said yes instantly. It was the most romantic Valentines gift I could ever have asked for. My one regret is that I had forgotten to take my camera on the day, so I didn't get a picture from the Tower, but it didn't matter, as I can remember every detail as if it was yesterday. We've been happily married for 20 years now, and Valentine's Day is always special between the two of us, but my Valentine's day in Paris will always bring me sweet precious memories.

Do you have a romantic Valentine's day memory that has found a place in your heart? Do you have a secret crush on someone and long to be their Valentine? Maybe you have a secret admirer? Do you receive a Valentines gift or card from someone and you don't know who it's from? What does Valentine's day mean to you?

We would love you to share your Valentines thoughts and memories with us! It will be great to know that there's romance and passion in the air! Please leave us some comments.
