Daffodils bring excitement for Spring!

I saw the loveliest sight on my travels today. I was giving my friend a lift to see his relative who lives in the outskirts of the City. I've done this on many occasion, so the journey has become quite routine really. The house is out in the countryside, which means driving along long narrow lanes, and when the snow was here, wasn't much fun! On approaching the house today in all it's fabulous surroundings, I saw my first sign of Spring. The most beautiful bunch of daffodils in glorious bloom greeted me, standing brightly and proud and I instantly felt excited!

It might still be cold at the moment, but that first sight of new daffodils gave me a glow inside, reassuring me that it won't be long before Spring is here, and with Spring comes sunshine, birds and flowers.

We've got so much to look forward to this Spring, starting with Mother's Day on Sunday 3rd April. Then of course it's Easter Sunday on 24th April, and if all the chocolate Easter eggs and Easter Bonnets aren't enough to get us excited, we have the long awaited Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday 29th April.

It's been a long, cold freezing winter for all of us, but with so much to look forward to over the coming months, Winter will soon be a distant memory, and we can all enjoy the warmth, sunshine and all the happiness and fun times that the beautiful Spring and Summer seasons give us.
