"I don't understand why people get so stressed about weddings".
Those were my famous last words! When I first got engaged I honestly didn't see what would be stressful - it all looked so fun and exciting. Until you get to drawing up the guest list, or finding a florist who can have bouquets ready 4 days after Christmas when the flower markets are all closed, or dealing with bridesmaid dresses which arrive 4 inches too small.
Add all that to a recently diagnosed long term illness, mobility problems, failed benefit appeals, pain clinics and weight gain due to medication (weight gain after the dress is already bought at a tiny size 6!) and now I can begin to see why weddings are stressful!! But now there is only 11 weeks to go and I know that it will be all worth it when I stand next to my fiance and say those vows. After all, the stress has had one benefit - it's shown me how much he loves me and that he will stand by me and support me through everything. Maybe that's why wedding planning is so stressful - it could be the ultimate relationship test to prove which couples are meant to make it down the aisle.
